How to get to Lemmer
By car
Lemmer is easily reached via the A6. From Lelystad or Joure, take exit 17 (Lemmer). From the exit you'll be in the centre in a few minutes.
By public transport
Lemmer has no train station but is well connected by bus. The bus station is near the A6 exit and within walking distance of the centre. Buses run daily from Heerenveen, Sneek and Emmeloord.
By water

Parking
In the municipality of De Fryske Marren, which includes Lemmer, parking is free. Watch out for the blue zones in the centre: there you need a parking disc and can usually stay for a maximum of two hours.
Tip
On busy days (market day, festival week, sunny weather) the car parks at Het Dok and the harbour fill up quickly. Park a little further from the centre — you'll walk to the water in ten minutes.
